Does a public event in Tulsa need a permit for porta potties?
Public events on city streets, sidewalks or parks need a City of Tulsa special event permit, and the permit asks for your restroom count. The Special Events Office guideline is 2 portable toilets per 250 people, with 10% accessible. Apply 40–60 days ahead, depending on closures.
The permit form asks for the restroom company name and phone, the number of units and the number of accessible units. Book units early and put the order number on the application. Read the Tulsa event permit restroom guide, or contact the Special Events Office at (918) 576-5636. Private backyard parties usually need no permit.
Where should porta potties go at an event?
Set event porta potties on level ground at least 10 feet from tents, grills and food service doors, within about 50 feet of where the truck can park. Face doors away from seating. For night events, place units near existing lights or add string lights.
- Put the hand-wash station between the units and the food.
- Set the accessible unit on the firmest, flattest path, about 8 feet wide.
- Pick shade in summer. A unit in full sun on a 95°F day gets hot inside.
- Mark each spot with a flag or chalk before delivery day.

Party and event porta potty questions
These 5 answers start with the question renters ask first here: can i rent a porta potty for just one day. Each answer gives the number or rule up front, then the conditions, so you can book without a second call.
Can I rent a porta potty for just one day?
A one-day event rental costs the same $175 as a 3-day rental. The unit arrives the day before and leaves the next business day, so a 1-day party has no rush on either end.
Do you deliver porta potties to Tulsa city parks?
Units can go to Tulsa parks when the event has a city permit. Parks often limit where trucks can drive, so send the permit map with the order. Some parks ask that units not stay overnight.
Can I choose the color of the porta potty?
Colors depend on what is in stock that week. Blue and gray are most common, and pink units are sometimes available. Ask when booking and the order notes your preference.
What if it rains on my event?
The unit stays put in rain and the truck delivers in rain. Pick a spot the truck can reach on firm ground, since a soaked lawn may be too soft. Rescheduling is free when the new date is open.
Can I rent porta potties and a hand-wash station together?
A hand-wash station rents alongside porta potties on the same order for $115 per event, with no extra delivery charge. Each station has 2 sinks, soap and paper towels.
